NUGGETS!!!

Tonight we had Chick-Fil-A for dinner. I got nuggets, for several reasons:

1. I like them.

2. They remind me of my second-favorite sports team. The Nuggets.

Why are they my second-favorite? I believe the answer is obvious.

"Nugget."

Just say it.

I'm 90% sure that "nugget" could be the funniest word in the English language. It is possibly even funnier than "moist" and "weasel."

It even looks funny. The longer you look at it, the more ridiculous it is. Nugget. Ha ha.

Yes, that is my main reason for liking them. I'll admit it: I've never seen them play. But let's be honest here. They don't matter anyway. What matters is having an awesome name.

But that leads us to another question: if they're only my second-favorite team, then... who's Number One?!

Well, that is obvious. The Blazers.

Because Carl said so.

Also because it takes a blaze to cook a nugget. I know that from baking dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets for my little cousins. Alternatively, you could argue that cooking a nugget only takes "Heat" but then you would be wrong.

So many nuggets. So little time.

white people don't know how to Jimmer.

So you can have it stuck in your head, too:

watching sports with my husband

Tonight, I committed to watch--yes--sports with that darling Carl guy. As I type, we are watching THE Jimmer Fredette... you know, I don't know, dribble or whatever.

But I'm getting ahead of myself. This is the second sport of the evening.

Sport #1 was Starcraft. I didn't mean to be a witness to that, but I had to go down and remind him to join the real world again someday.

"I just have to destroy Blue," he said.

Of course I knew exactly what he was talking about.

"That's been on my to-do list for years," I told him.

Anyway, eventually he must have destroyed every annoying yappy dog from off the face of the stars, or the crafts or whatever, because then it was time for Jimmer Fredette! I decided I had to watch a smidgen of it because I may have never watched an entire basketball game in my life. Sorry. At my house, we watch the news, not, you know, sporty things.

So now we're watching basketball, and trying to explain to my mom that no one calls the lines on the basketball court "parabolas." Even I know that.
