communicating with Baby D

Baby Doozit is my ninja gangster child. Those pregnancy books say that eventually you'll start noticing a pattern of your baby sleeping and then being awake, and that's definitely true. He'll go for a while without doing anything, and then BAZAM he's all like ::kickkick punch roundhouse kick::. I told Carl we should name him Chuck Doozit, after his fetal hero, who is apparently Chuck Norris.

This kid is seriously hardcore. Carl can attest to his one-two punches, where it's like BAM BAM right in a row. And while you're apparently just supposed to feel your kid on one side, Baby D definitely likes to do this thing where he like kicks and punches simultaneously. So on my lower left side I get a whomp and then on the upper right side I get two little punches, all at the same time.

We will have to invest in martial arts lessons for our blooming ninja master.



I always tell Carl and my little missionary brother that Baby D says hi to them in Morse Code. This morning I got an email for Baby D from my brother:
